MU women's soccer advances to Big 12 semis

COLUMBIA — The No. 15 Missouri women's soccer team upset No. 9 Texas 3-1 Wednesday in San Antonio to advance to the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament.

Sophomore striker Alysha Bonnick had two goals and junior midfielder Bree Thornton also scored. All three Tiger goals came in the second half.

Junior goalkeeper Tasha Dittamore set a new Missouri record with her 14th win, recording six saves. The Tigers matched a program record for scoring in consecutive games at 16.

The Tigers will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday against the winner of the game between No. 2 seed Texas A&M and No. 7 seed Kansas
