Columbia College women's basketball falls to William Jewell

COLUMBIA — The Columbia College women's basketball team dropped to 2-1 Friday with a loss against William Jewell College at Baker University. The Cougars turned the ball over 41 times in the 61-45 loss.

"It looked like an ugly early-season game," coach Mike Davis said.

Victoria Smith led the Cougars with 15 points and 14 rebounds. The Cougars play host Baker at 3 p.m. Saturday.
