Tigers in title game of Big 12 soccer tournament

The Missouri women's soccer team advanced to the championship game of the Big 12 tournament after winning a penalty kick shootout against Kansas on Friday in San Antonio, Texas.

The game was tied 1-1 after regulation and through two overtime periods. The Tigers won the penalty kick shootout 4-3 when Alysha Bonnick netted the decisive goal.

Missouri (14-5-1), which entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed, plays Colorado (14-3-4), the No. 4 seed, in the title game at noon Sunday in San Antonio. The Tigers made the final in 1998, 1999 and 2003, but have never earned the crown.
