COLUMBIA — Mike Dixon signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play basketball at Missouri for the 2009-2010 season.

Dixon, a senior at Lee’s Summit West High School, was rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and was ranked No. 130 nationally among this year's senior class.

“He’s got a great work ethic; he’s a winner and a competitor,” coach Mike Anderson said in a press release. “I feel it’s a tremendous statement when the best player in the state wants to be a part of your program, and we have that with Mike.”

The 6-foot, 165-pound point guard orally committed to Missouri months ago and made it official on the first day of the new signing period, which runs through Nov. 19. He will join two of his former AAU league teammates, freshmen Marcus Denmon and Steve Moore.
