COLUMBIA — A 47-year-old Columbia man sustained a non-life-threatening stab wound when he was robbed by two males, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
The robbery occurred at 1:55 a.m. Friday in the area of Third Avenue and Providence Road. According to the release, the first suspect approached the victim and demanded his property. When he refused, the second suspect attacked the victim from behind and stabbed him in the abdomen, the release said.
Neither suspect has been identified, but the victim described them both as black males between the ages of 20 and 25. The first suspect is estimated to be 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 180 to 190 pounds, while the second is described to be about 5-feet-5-inches, weighing 150 pounds. According to the release, the victim attempted to fight and flee but was unable to do so. The suspects stole a small amount of cash. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was treated at University Hospital.
