COLUMBIA — The Stephens College basketball team defeated Johnson and Wales 68-48 on Friday in Leavenworth, Kan.
The Stars improved to 2-0 on the season as they shot 16-for-18 at the free throw line. Vanessa Koonce led Stephens with 15 points. Jessica Stanley had 12 points and led the team with seven rebounds.
Stephens plays Central Christian College Saturday in Leavenworth, Kan.
