Hickman junior David Bonuchi scored 588.25 points to repeat as state champion in the 1-meter diving event at the high school state swimming and diving championships Saturday at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters. His teammate Dylan Parham finished eighth.
Hickman senior Michael Sheahen didn't repeat as state champion, but swam to two fourth-place finishes. He went 1 minute, 44.28 seconds in the 200-yard freestyle and 4:40.38 in the 500-yard freestyle.
Rock Bridge received strong performances from sophomore Grant Hunter. He finished seventh in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:58.07 and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke in 53.24.
Hodges combined with teammates Zach Mertens, Coleman Hodges, and Eric Wetz to finish 10th in the 200-yard medley relay and was part of the 13th-place 400-freestyle relay.
