ST. LOUIS — Actor Will Smith will attend a premiere of his new movie, "Seven Pounds,'' in St. Louis, where he'll donate 300 turkeys for people in need.

The event Wednesday at the AMC Creve Coeur 12 is a benefit for the St. Louis Area Foodbank and the Urban League in partnership with the St. Louis Rams. Rams defensive end Chris Long and defensive tackle La'Roi Glover are expected to attend.

The first 200 people to bring a nonperishable food item beginning at 4 p.m. will receive a pass to view the film. Red carpet arrivals are at 5:30 p.m.

In the film, Smith plays Ben Thomas, an IRS agent with a secret who sets out on a journey of redemption. Similar premieres are being held in other cities before the movie opens nationwide Dec. 19.
