UPDATE: High school wrestler dies in practice

HAZELWOOD — The St. Louis County medical examiner is investigating the death of a
high school wrestler who collapsed during practice.
The incident happened Monday afternoon at Hazelwood West High School. The victim is identified as 15-year-old Jamel Brown.
Hazelwood
School District spokeswoman Nez Savala says the student was running
when he collapsed. An ambulance arrived and took him to DePaul
Hospital, where he died.
Extra counselors were at the school on Tuesday to help classmates cope with the death.
