JEFFERSON CITY — Gov. Matt Blunt has named a replacement for a judge he recently appointed to the Missouri Supreme Court.
Corey K. Herron of Trenton becomes an associate circuit judge in the Fourth Judicial Circuit, replacing new Supreme Court Judge Zel Fischer. The circuit covers Missouri’s five northwestern-most counties.
Herron is 39. He received both his bachelor’s and law degrees from MU.
Also Tuesday, Blunt appointed St. Louis Municipal Court Judge Theresa Counts Burke as an associate circuit judge in the 22nd Circuit. Burke is 43 and lives in St. Louis. She has a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and a law degree from Saint Louis University.
