Hickman opens with a win

MARSHALL - Hickman opened its 2008-09 basketball season Tuesday with a 68-56 win over Warrensburg in the first game of the 2008 Dairy Queen Shootout.

Eric Franklin led Hickman with 26 points. Marcus Whitt had 16 for the Kewpies. Hickman meets Sedalia at 6 p.m. Thursday in its second game in the tournament.
