Police seek three men in attempted burglary

COLUMBIA — Police are looking for three men in connection with an attempted first-degree burglary that occurred early Tuesday morning on Anthony Street, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

At about 1 a.m., the suspects tried to kick in the front door of a home before fleeing east, according to the release.

The first suspect was described as 6 feet tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a large hood.

The second was described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, wearing a white-and-black checkered sweatshirt with an orange ski mask and dark boots.

The third was described as also wearing an orange ski mask.

Anyone with any information is asked to submit a tip on the CrimeStoppers Web site, 875tips.com. You do not have to give your name and might be eligible for a reward of up to $1500 if your information leads to an arrest.
