PERRYVILLE — Aldermen in the southeast Missouri town voted Tuesday to remove a breed-specific ban from a proposed dangerous dog ordinance scheduled for a vote Dec. 16.
The revised ordinance is not a ban but will instead define "vicious dog" and outline steps that will happen if a dog is deemed vicious.
Aldermen hosted a public hearing last month about the possibility of banning pit bulls, but the ban never came to a vote.
