ST. LOUIS — An Illinois grand jury indicted a former St. Louis police officer and cleared a Pontoon Beach officer after two people were shot outside a bar.

The former officer, 26-year-old Bryan Pour, was charged Friday with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm in the Nov. 9 shooting of Jeffrey Bladdick, 25, of Granite City, Ill., outside Mac N Mick's Sports Bar.

When Pontoon Beach police arrived at the scene, Bladdick had been shot. Officers ordered everyone to drop their weapons but said an off-duty St. Louis officer, 23-year-old Christopher Hantak, did not.

Investigators said Pontoon Beach officer Aaron Morgan shot Hantak when he pointed a weapon at Morgan. The grand jury concluded Morgan was justified.
