Three Columbia men were arrested Friday afternoon on suspicion of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Justin M. Munsterman, 21, and William F. Scheperle, 21, of 3518 La Mesa Drive were arrested, according to a release from Columbia police. Hoke H. Holmes, 33, of 2300 Topaz Drive, was also arrested at the La Mesa residence, the release said.
A search warrant was delivered to the La Mesa Drive residence at 2:56 p.m. The warrant is the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by members of the Columbia Police Narcotics Unit, Street Crimes Unit and Patrol Division.
A search of the house led to the discovery of a half pound of high-quality marijuana, as well as hash brownies and additional marijuana packaged for sale, according to the release. Concerta and Vyvance, medicines intended to control ADHD, were also found in the house, along with various items used to measure and administer the drugs, the release said. Munsterman was carrying $1,114 in cash, police said.
Munsterman was arrested on a charge of felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; Scheperle was arrested on two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance; and Holmes was arrested on misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said.
The incident is still under investigation. Those with information are encouraged to submit their tips on the Crime stoppers Web site, 875tips.com. A reward of $1,500 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
