COLUMBIA — The Columbia Fire Department responded to a small brush fire at 7:05 p.m. Monday at Orr Street Studios, 106 Orr St. near the corner of Orr and Walnut streets.

According to Lt. Randy White, a small pile of leaves on the back side of the art studio caught on fire, causing smoke to curl around and enter the building through the heating system.

Fire trucks arrived just a few minutes after the fire was called in. No injuries were reported, White said.
