Abortions contribute to violent culture

Are we heading for a culture of death? I support President-elect Obama in most of his ideas except his support of the Freedom of Choice Act; as this would not be giving the unborn baby a choice for life, which begins at conception. Obama says he is not sure when life begins. I hope all pro-life groups will provide him with this information.

As Mother Teresa has said, "When you lose respect for any part of life you will soon lose respect for all life." This means we must oppose abortion, capital punishment, suicide, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, as well as unjust wars like the one in Iraq. We must also support abortion alternatives as Obama does, which makes it easier for a woman to keep her baby. We must show doctors that abortion is against their oath. We must convince Congress to oppose the Freedom of Choice Act as it would remove nearly all restraints on abortion. Other countries have used embryonic stem cell research with no results that couldn't be obtained by the use of adult stem cells, which doesn't cause the taking of life. Murder in all of its forms will continue until we learn to respect life.

Respect for life and other morals cannot be taught in our public schools, therefore we must adopt a universal school voucher system which allows parents to support a school of their choice. With more parents both working away from home it is necessary that the teachings of morals to their children be continued at schools. This is even more important than reading, writing and arithmetic if school violence as well as other violence is to be stopped!
