COLUMBIA — Three men were arrested in connection with a robbery that took place in a home on the 1100 block of Rangeline Street on Wednesday evening, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.
The victims, a 48 year-old male and 46 year-old female, told police that a man approached their door asking for a female who did not reside there, according to the release. When the female victim went to get the male who was inside the residence, three men forced their way into the house. There was a physical struggle that led to minor injuries for the victims; the three men then took a television and left the house, the release said.
A description of the vehicle was provided by the victims and, officers subsequently found a matching vehicle near the intersection of Brown Station and Paris Road. According to the release, three men in the vehicle made incriminating statements after being stopped by police and were then taken into custody.
Brian M. Robinson, 25, of Columbia; Charles A. Robinson, 28, of Fulton; and Orlandis L. Green, 25, of Columbia were arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
A fourth man, Antoine S. Jordan, 23, was also in the car and was arrested for having two outstanding warrants, though he was not charged in connection with the robbery, the release stated.
