ST. LOUIS — Revenue is down at some Missouri casinos, but the head of the state Gaming Commission says the industry is doing well in Missouri.

The latest monthly report from the Gaming Commission shows that five casinos took in less money in November than they did in the same period a year ago. The biggest decline was at the President in St. Louis, where revenue was down 53 percent. Isle of Capri in Boonville was down 8 percent. Three other casinos — Harrah’s in St. Louis County, Harrah’s in North Kansas City and Ameristar in Kansas City — saw 3 percent revenue declines.

But all 12 Missouri casinos did better in November than they did in October. And Gaming Commission director Gene McNary notes that with the new Lumiére Place, St. Louis gaming revenue is up 24 percent over last year.
