COLUMBIA — One man was arrested Friday and two others are wanted on drug-related charges, according to a news release from the Columbia Police Department.

Officers went to an apartment at 716 Lyon St. on Friday night to investigate reports of drug use and sales. Dan Kohler, 18, was home at the time and consented to a search of his part of the apartment, according to the release.

During the search, police found drug paraphernalia and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Kohler was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, police said.

According to the police, probable cause was developed to search the remainder of the apartment, and the officers applied for a search warrant. After the warrant was obtained, a subsequent search revealed about 178 grams of marijuana packaged for distribution as well as multiple marijuana smoking devices, police said.

Police have warrant requests for the other residents of the apartment. Corey Holmes, 21, is wanted on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Trevor McClain, 21, is wanted on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia.
