MARYLAND HEIGHTS — A Minnesota man accused of trying to pay an 11-year-old boy for sex has been arrested.
Tavo Ray Bowman, 37, of Truman, Minn., was wanted for allegedly approaching the boy Dec. 5 outside the Alltel Center in Mankato, Minn., police said. Police were seeking him on Minnesota warrant charges of two counts of attempted criminal sexual conduct and solicitation of a child.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported on its Web site that Maryland Heights police arrested Bowman about 3 a.m. Saturday without incident.
According to the criminal complaint, the boy told police he was approached in the skyway to the Alltel Center by a man in his 30s who gave him $20 and asked him to pull down his pants.
Bowman said earlier that he contacted prosecutors and offered to take a polygraph test. He also said he wanted the boy and the investigating officer to take a polygraph.
