A winter weather advisory was in effect for the Columbia area until 2 p.m. Tuesday for 1 to 2 inches of snow and sleet. The National Weather Service was calling for snow, possibly mixed with sleet at times, to continue into the early afternoon before ending.
The Missouri Department of Transportation at 9:35 a.m. listed Interstate 70 and U.S. 63 in the Columbia area as partly covered with snow. Other major roads in central Missouri — as well as all major roads in northern and western Missouri — were snow-covered. The latest road conditions statewide can be found at www.modot.org.

Ah one my most favorite time of year with this great view over North Columbia as I sit here and type this posting it is so lovely outside as the purity and whiteness of the snow covers all of the roof tops and all of the area before my eyes.
