PARK HILLS — The Missouri Ethics Commission reprimanded an incoming lawmaker for using her school district computer to seek support in her campaign.

Democrat Linda Fischer of Bonne Terre won election to the Missouri House of Representatives in November. She'll take office in January.

The Ethics Commission sent a letter of reprimand to Fischer stemming from an April complaint filed by Rep. Brad Robinson, D-Bonne Terre. Robinson had planned to seek re-election but withdrew from the race after being charged with a felony leaving the scene of an accident.

Fischer admitted in a document filed in November that she sent the e-mail from her North County School District computer. She told the Park Hills Daily Journal she won't make the same mistake again.
