COLUMBIA — Around 9:26 p.m. Thursday, the Columbia Fire Department was called to investigate three small fires which were intentionally set at the business Boyce & Bynum at 200 Portland St., fire officials said.

The fires were set on two different levels of the business and were very small in nature, according to Battalion Chief Gary L. Warren Jr.

Several employees were in the building during the one-hour time frame of the incident, but none were hurt, Warren said.

Minimal damage was discovered, Warren said, and a Columbia Fire investigator has been working with members of the Columbia Police Department to investigate the incident.
