COLUMBIA — Police responded at 12:38 p.m. Friday to a report of a burglary on the 5500 block of Hunley Court, east of Columbia.

Michael W. Ridgeway, 36, and two male juveniles, all of Columbia, were arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.

Witnesses told police that two suspects had broken into a house, stolen items and then run from the house, escaping in a car.

Witnesses also provided a description of the vehicle, which was spotted in northeast Columbia by a Police Department community service aide. The car was later located by a Boone County deputy around the intersection of Mexico Gravel Road and Alpine Drive.

The suspects were arrested without any problems. Ridgeway's bond is set for $4,500. The two younger suspects were handed over to the Boone County juvenile authorities.

The burglary is still under investigation.
