COLUMBIA — A Columbia woman told police on Friday night that someone fired shots into her home on the 4300 block of Ludwick Boulevard, according to a Police Department news release.

Columbia police arrived at the home at 9:17 p.m. Friday and found damage to her home near the front door.

In addition to the caller, another woman and four children 10 years of age or younger were in the home at the time of the shooting. There were no injuries, according to the release.

On Thursday, police had responded to a report of a burglary at this address and had taken two suspects into custody. After Friday's report, one of those suspects was questioned about the shooting and was released without charges, according to the release.

The incident is still under investigation. It is unclear whether the shooting was related to the burglary.
