First question the public should have on this is what was a 16 yr old kid doing out at that hour of night and in that part of town driving around?
Don't tell me he was looking for a late nighter at Taco Bell.
Drug deal gone sour? Robbery attempt gone bad?
What do this kid's parents think about all of this as well?
Any curfew should include minors driving around without an adult, after hours.
Violation of such a curfew should result in confiscation of the vehicle being driven.
No Chuck, the first question the public should be asking is what beef the shooter had with the victim, followed by where he or she got the weapon.
And Ray, I hate to disappoint you, but the curfew that Laura Nauser is preparing to bring before the city council doesn't address 16 year olds to the best of my knowledge, I believe it is 15 and under.
John: Then I'll just sit back and watch 16 year olds take the bullets as the younger ones are mandated to bite the bullet.
(Details on the curfew can change.)
John Schultz I still stand by my post as guns are too easy to get on the street being we have this crime wave of break ins across our entire city with many reports of guns being stolen. The gun could have come from anywhere and that is just common sense.
I agree with ray the curfew needs to be implemented so all those even 16yrs old are included.
IMHO here which I already know alot will not like at all but if you are under 18 yrs old you really have no business out on the streets after 11pm unless you are at work.
These are hard times we live in and they are not looking to get any better anytime soon. Hard times mean hard means to rectify those issues.
NO!!!Coty did not walk up to the car. If people are going to tell the story they need to get it right! Coty is like my cousin, that is NOT what happened.
curfews, pff. soo glad I grew up w/o all that BS. Yes, at that age I was usually out till five in the morning. Lots older now and still out till five in the morning. And really, confiscating a vehicle because a person is out after curfew? You people will not be happy until we are living in a police state will you? There will always be bad seeds either old or young. But punishing the many because of actions of the few?
Get a life people and live your own and quit trying to ruin others!!
