ST. LOUIS — The Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots toy drive got a boost with a big contribution from Build-A-Bear Workshop.

The St. Louis-based company is donating 20,000 plush animals to the annual toy drive — 15,000 in St. Louis and 5,000 in Columbus, Ohio. Build-A-Bear said it is making the donation in response to Toys for Tot's call for last-minute donations. Overall, donations to the drive are down this year.

Build-A-Bear says that it earlier donated 325,000 plush animals to the toy drive.
