ST. LOUIS — The Missouri State Highway Patrol is searching for a man who failed to stop for a trooper then bailed out of the car, leaving a baby in the back seat.
Authorities say the driver failed to yield on eastbound Interstate 70, near the Lucas and Hunt Exit in St. Louis on Wednesday morning. A trooper tried to get the driver to pull over, but he kept going and caused a wreck.
The driver then got out of the car and ran. Police found the child in a car seat.
The baby was not hurt.
