HANNIBAL — Flooding this year along the Mississippi River at Hannibal came with a hefty price, and the city says it will need some help paying the tab.
City Clerk Angel Zerbonia said the fight, cleanup and repairs will cost more than $700,000.
She said the Federal Emergency Management Agency may reimburse some of the costs at 75 percent. Other costs will not be eligible for the funds.
She says the city also will turn to the state for financial assistance. But she says Hannibal first must complete some dredging and replacement of damaged docks.
