Man robs Tiger Cleaners

COLUMBIA–Police are searching for a man who robbed the Tiger Cleaners on Peachtree Drive on Saturday morning.

The man stole an undisclosed amount of money and injured a woman working there at 9:56 a.m., according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

The man entered the business and demanded money. No weapon was seen, but as the clerk opened the cash register, the man jumped the counter and struck her in the face with his fist, stated the release.

The woman was treated for minor injuries and declined further medical assistance.

The man was last seen running southbound from Tiger Cleaners, according to the release. Police encourage anyone with information to visit the Columbia CrimeStoppers website or call 573-875-8477.
