2008: A year of profound change for some

In 2008, most of us voted and nearly everyone was touched by the economic slump.
Fewer of us can point to the year ending today as a memorable milestone. These are the ones who married, divorced, went to war, had a baby, built their first home, became a U.S. citizen, watched a loved one die.
