SIKESTON — Prosecutors are considering upgrades to charges against four men in an assault during a home robbery that has now claimed the life of a southeast Missouri man.

Forty-five-year-old Linnie Andrews was hospitalized after the Dec. 7 robbery at his Sikeston home and died of his injuries on Christmas Day. He had been hospitalized at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis since the attack.

Andrews and 29-year-old Dewayne Andrews were struck in the head with handguns. The elder Andrews was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment, and Dewayne was treated for a cut just above his eye. Several other people in the home, some of them children, were not injured.

Scott County authorities say Maurice Robinson, Julius Hudson, Fabayan Larry and Jeremiah Watson, all of Sikeston, are jailed and awaiting amendment of charges.
