Columbia police seek two men in robbery

COLUMBIA — Police are seeking two men after a man reported that he was hit over the head and robbed Thursday evening in the 3900 block of Clark Lane, a news release from the Columbia Police Department states.

At 6 p.m., the victim, a 57-year-old man, told police he was returning home from grocery shopping when two men in a white car pulled up in front of his vehicle, the release states.

The men got out of the car and had a conversation with the victim. But, when he bent into his vehicle to retrieve his groceries, he was struck in the back of the head by an unknown object, the release states.

The victim briefly lost consciousness and woke to see one of the men taking money out of his wallet and the other taking groceries. The victim did not need medical attention, the release states.

 

The vehicle was described as a white, older four-door Oldsmobile or Buick.
