SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A late January hearing is set for the co-owner of a Lawrence County skydiving business who is facing the possible revocation of his pilot's license.
The Federal Aviation Administration moved to revoke the license of Freefall Express Skydiving co-owner Bryan Wolford earlier this year after two people died in a crash and before a second deadly accident Sunday. Three other people currently or formerly affiliated with the business have lost or could lose their licenses.
The FAA determined the accident in April that killed two instructors was the result of the Cessna 206 failing to "maintain adequate airspeed" and stalling. That same investigation also revealed maintenance problems.
The cause of Sunday's accident that claimed the life of a parachutist remains under investigation.
