SIKESTON — A 29-year-old Sikeston man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a southeast Missouri man during a home robbery.
Prosecutors say Maurice J. Robinson was charged for causing the death of 45-year-old Linnie Andrews by striking him on the head with a pistol and stomping his head.
Andrews was hospitalized after the Dec. 7 robbery at his Sikeston home and died of his injuries on Christmas Day. Twenty-nine-year-old Dewayne Andrews was also injured.
Robinson is also charged with armed criminal action, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and unlawful use of a criminal weapon.
Scott County authorities say 22-year-old Julius Hudson, 22-year-old Fabayan Larry and 30-year-old Jeremiah Watson — all of Sikeston — were also charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action and other charges.
