3 die in Carrollton house fire

CARROLLTON — A mother and her two children died after a fire swept through a house Tuesday morning in northwest Missouri's rural Carroll County.

The fire was reported around 9:02 a.m. at the home about two miles north of Carrollton.

Curtis Shields, Carrollton fire department chief, reported that the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Fire crews spent three hours extinguishing the blaze.

The victims were found dead inside two different bedrooms. They were identified as Christy Endicott, 34; Dawson Warner, 3; and Christian Warner, 1.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
