ST. LOUIS — Prosecutors file charges against a St. Louis man accused of shooting at police.

Twenty-six-year-old Anthony S. Taylor was charged on Saturday with two felony counts of first-degree assault against a law enforcement officer and two counts of armed criminal action.

Taylor was wanted for questioning in two homicides and another shooting.

He was spotted by two officers on Friday when officers approached him wearing police raid vests and badges.

Police say Taylor ran, then fired at both officers with a .357 Magnum handgun.

Both officers returned fire. One officer hit Taylor in the neck and lower abdomen.

Taylor was hospitalized in serious condition.

Taylor was being held in lieu of a $500,000 cash-only bail.
