COLUMBIA — Police are seeking two men who nearly struck a woman walking her dog after they drove a car through Again Street Park on Thursday morning, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
According to the news release, at about 10:15 a.m., the car entered the park from Redwood Lane, breaking a chain blocking the entrance to the park. The car drove across the park’s grass and pathways before exiting on Again Street. Witnesses told police that the men may have been involved in an disturbance near Redwood Lane and Ash Street before driving across the park.
No injuries were reported, and police could not confirm an initial report that shots were fired during the incident, the release stated.
The car’s description resembles that of a car stolen earlier Thursday, the release said. The stolen car was described as a dark blue or green Toyota Camry with Missouri license plates. The car seen in the park was described as a small, four-door dark blue or green car. Police could not confirm if the two vehicles are related, the release stated.
