Midwest home sales decline almost 5 percent in December

Sales of existing homes in the Midwest were down almost 5 percent in December compared with a year ago, and the median sale price fell to $140,800, the National Association of Realtors said Monday. Nationally, sales increased about 1 percent compared with December 2007, and the median sale price was $175,400.
