COLUMBIA — A search warrant served Monday afternoon by Columbia's SWAT team turned up computers that may have been stolen, as well as scales believed to be used to weigh illegal drugs, according to a release from the Columbia Police Department.
Members of the Police Department's SWAT team served a search warrant at 1411 Wilkes Blvd. Unit B at approximately 4:39 p.m. Monday. The warrant was obtained as part of a Major Crimes Unit investigation. The officers were searching for various stolen items, according to the release.
During the search of the property, officers encountered and detained an adult male and adult female, the release said. The search resulted in the discovery of the scales and the computer and monitor, which are believed to be stolen property because of the removal of serial numbers, the release said.
No arrests were made as a result of this warrant. The release said the department will continue to investigate the possible stolen property.
