COLUMBIA — Free income tax preparation assistance will be provided beginning Monday through April 18 to students and families making less than $45,000 annually.

MU's personal financial planning department will provide assistance at three sites around Columbia. The service will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those wishing to take advantage of the service can do so during the following times:

All sites will be closed March 21 to 29. For tax assistance, bring photo identification, Social Security cards for dependents and spouse, W-2 forms for every job worked in 2008, a personal check and savings deposit slip and an optional 2007 tax return.
