A cyclist without lights, riding on the wrong side of the road, and intoxicated, gets hit. Yet how many times will my "friends" send me this helpful article to alert me to the dangers of cycling every day to work, following all the rules of the road, with lights AND a helmet, and never intoxicated! I have more in common with most motorists than I do with this cyclist.
Thank you, Missourian, for reporting on all the details, not just if the guy was wearing that magical helmet that is supposed to prevent all collisions!
