UM President Gary Forsee stayed mostly clear of controversial budget-cutting measures in his State of the University address Friday at the Reynolds Alumni Center.
Managing the budget with diminishing resources was at the center of Thursday’s meetings of the UM Board of Curators’ committee meetings.
The presentation focused mostly on general strategy to make UM schools more competitive among four-year schools and community colleges nationwide. He also talked about the need to better serve Missouri, saying the system is in the bottom 30 percent of states in full-time enrollment as a percentage of the population.
