COLUMBIA — William P. Clinch of Hallsville was indicted on Friday after charges had been dropped and refiled by Boone County Prosecutor Dan Knight on Jan. 27.
Knight dropped the charges and immediately refiled them just before Clinch's first trial began because Boone County Circuit Judge Gene Hamilton said he would tell the jury to broadly interpret Missouri's self-defense statute, according to previous Missourian articles.
