ST. LOUIS — Sen. Kit Bond is calling the stimulus compromise a wasteful spending bill, one that he says will do little to stimulate the economy.
The Missouri Republican planned to meet with the media at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Lambert Airport. A news release from Bond's office called the stimulus compromise "the Democrats' trillion-dollar budget-buster," saying it will stimulate growth of government but not create jobs or help Missourians.
