COLUMBIA — Lil Wayne weighed in whether it was OK for Missouri fans to rush the floor after the Tigers' win over Kansas on Monday.
"I'm cool with that," said the Grammy Award-winning rap artist on ESPN's "Around the Horn" on Tuesday. "I'm fine with that. It was like their first win over their rival in the last six times."
The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., is also a sports blogger in his spare time.
Host Tony Reali posed the question to Lil Wayne and Boston Globe reporter Michael Smith near the end of the program.
Both men said it was fine for fans to rush the floor given the fact that the game ended on a last-second shot by Missouri's Zaire Taylor and the bitter nature of the rivalry over the years.
