COLUMBIA – Two people were injured and a man was arrested early Saturday morning following what police said was a dispute over who was paying a fair share of household expenses.
The three people involved live in an apartment in the 2800 block of Jacobs Place. According to a release from the Police Department, the suspect was drunk and was arguing with his sister, 33, and his nephew, 20, over finances. The suspect then drove his sister's head through a wall, cutting her, and stabbed his nephew twice in the leg, according to the release.
Officers arrested 42-year-old Raymond Tatum on charges of domestic assault, armed criminal action and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
The release said both victims were examined by emergency medical personnel at the scene and both refused further treatment.
