Police seek one man after Columbia convenience store robbery

COLUMBIA — Police are seeking a man after he entered a convenience store, pulled a handgun and demanded money from a customer and store clerk on Sunday evening, a Columbia Police Department news release states.

The man is described as a black man in his mid-20s with a thin build and light complexion measuring 5 feet, 4 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall. Police report that he was last seen wearing a tan mask over the bottom of his face and a dark-colored hooded jacket with white stripes on its sleeves and writing on the front.

According to the release, at about 8 p.m., the man entered the Midwest Petroleum station at 1102 Business Loop 70 E., brandished a handgun and demanded money from a female customer and a clerk. The man took an unknown amount of money from the two and then ran south from the store. Neither the clerk nor the woman was injured in the robbery.
