ST. LOUIS — Sen. Kit Bond is pushing his plan to create 3,000 jobs in Missouri while at the same time building more than 700 affordable housing units in the state.
The Republican is to host a roundtable discussion on the plan Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. City officials, public housing advocates and families were scheduled to participate.
Bond says there is a shortage of affordable housing for low-income families struggling to survive the economic crisis.
